Portland, Bumper Sticker Capital of the World

They’re everywhere.  Portlanders not only want you to know what they think, they want you to know they’re smarter than you are if you don’t think it as well.

Unfortunately all I had was my phone, but this one managed a double take:

Stanford!  Harvard!  Portland Rocks! Stand for Peace! Impeach Bush!

COEXIST!  [Find the incongruity!]

and

Underneath TREE/MAX read: “More trees, fewer realtors!”

Huh?

Look, it’s not that I don’t thoroughly admire people who can fit their entire sprightly ideology on the back of a Volvo, but, please, what the hell does that mean?

Anyone?

Hey about that comparison you were going to do… I’m reconsidering based on the paper usage it will require. Bumper stickers can be powerful motivators.

I guess you’ll have to start handing out listing kits and P/S agreements on CD. But wait, are your CD’s made of recycled plastic? Oh the horror!

Nice find though, I’ve never seen the Tree/Max one before.

    Jeff…

I think you’ve got it! I’m looking at my desk and I have the better part of an old growth stand right in front of me. And that’s only one transaction…

I’m sorry, I was picking old growth trees for my new home. Say again please? :)

Jeff K — You’re trying to figure out where two perfectly parallel lines meet, which of course they never do. Think about where you are and how some folks think these days.

Two parallel lines. Living in Portland you’ll go nuts looking for logical rationale.
